See you in October!
DMA is very excited to again offer the Exhibiting ROI-Q™ Academy™, which was introduced for DMA07 and also offered recently to exhibitors in the DM Days NY Conference & Expo. All DMA08 exhibitors are invited – and encouraged – to attend this expanded series of pre-show Webinars as well as the onsite session. This multi-session academy, offered by DMA for exhibitors to become masters in event marketing, is conducted by Charles W. Allen, in conjunction with the Trade Show Exhibitors Association (TSEA). Through these highly interactive sessions, each participant will learn the fundamentals of successful exhibiting, boothmanship, the essential “do’s and don’ts” of exhibiting and more. Exhibitors will take advantage of the crucial time when prospects visit their booth.
Your participation in this program will result in:
- Dramatically increased booth traffic of your target audience
- Significantly increased sales conversions through mastery of the new art of effective boothmanship
- Greater ultimate ROI!
- Increased Show Floor Interactivity
Please note the following dates and programs. This information will be posted on the Current Exhibitors page of the DMA08 web site along with the links to register for each Webinar. At the conclusion of each Webinar, exhibitors may access a “Replay” of the program.
Tuesday, July 15th, 1:00pm-2:00pm: The New Science of Event Marketing™ (Webinar)
This session involves all of the verifiable scientific research ever conducted about the real 'science' of event marketing (reach, attraction, sales conversion... and ultimate profitability). After all, it is a legitimate 'science'... and should be approached as such.... with systematic methodology according to such research. Depending on each of the ten (10) major exhibiting objectives (semantics aside), there exists a demonstrated set of pre, at and post event marketing strategies and tactics that have proven to maximize Return on (such stated) Objectives (ROO). All ROI ultimately emanates from maximizing the metrics of ROO. The primary sources are CEIR, the Deloitte & Touche Consulting Group, Sponsorship Research International, Jack Morton Worldwide, Exhibit Surveys, INC, TSEA, etc... It truly is about 'Total Strategic Event Marketing'.... as it has replaced the outdated and antiquated (simplistic) 'booth and attendee' model.
Thursday, August 14th, 1:00pm-2:00pm: The New Art of Effective Boothmanship™ (Webinar)
This webinar covers all of the proven strategies and tactics that will absolutely determine your success or failure during your exhibition participation at DMA08. Boothmanship used to mean simply putting your sharpest sales people in the booth... and hoping 'things would work out OK'. This shortsighted approach has been replaced with what has grown into an "art form" of sorts. It covers the art of engaging and disengaging (NOT.... "How are you doing" for the 700th time!), of qualifying, of asking unique 'open ended questions' designed to get prospects talking about themselves and their current business objectives.... and of 'guiding the conversation by asking continued probing questions' in order to continue to learn more and more. Mastered correctly... most 'sales close themselves' if the prospect is veritably qualified. This entire program involves totally understanding why the attendee is there to begin with... and tailoring everything you do to accommodate all qualified attendees. In so doing...it's about 'targeted reach'... 'booth attraction efficiency'... and ultimate 'sales conversions
Wednesday, September 17th, 1:00pm-2:00pm: Extreme Marketing Makeover™ (Webinar)
This energetic and highly-interactive session will show you how to avoid common marketing mistakes, as well as providing a step-by-step, how to view the world through your customers and prospects' eyes that will allow you to communicate your unique value proposition instantly and powerfully. The strategies, tools, and ideas you'll take away from this session will exponentially increase your ultimate ROI and trade show success. The formula known as The Marketing Equation, the how to's of the four essential steps, will be revealed in this break-through session: 1) Differentiate themselves, their organizations and their unique value propositions from all competitors 2) Expedite and facilitate the buying process 3) Enroll new customers by strategically leading them to the "no-brainer" conclusion that not doing business with you is the highest risk option.

There are many opportunities during DMA08 to “mix and meet” with conference attendees – on the show floor, in conference sessions, over lunch and impromptu meetings. Many exhibitors also host events, whether these are small meetings with customers or private receptions/dinners. We know exhibitors want to maximize their time with attendees; however it is in the interest of all exhibitors that conference attendees not be asked to choose between spending their time at the convention center or at an offsite meeting or event.
With this in mind, DMA is re-instating the policy regarding space release requests at hotels within the DMA block. DMA will not authorize events that conflict/compete with the official conference program and will not release space at the official conference hotels for that purpose.
Official conference hours are:
| Sunday, Oct. 12th |
3:00pm – 5:30pm |
| Monday, Oct. 13th: |
8:30am – 5:00pm |
| Tuesday, Oct. 14th: |
8:45am – 5:00pm |
| Wednesday, Oct. 15th: |
10:00am – 12:15pm |
For the past several years, DMA has been providing meeting rooms on the show floor for exhibitors to meet with customers. If you are interested in reserving an Exhibitor Meeting Room, please complete the request form and return to the DMA. These rooms are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
