This multi session academy is conducted by Charles W. Allen, in conjunction with the Trade Show Exhibitors Association (TSEA). EXHIBITOR SERVICE KITFreeman will again be the general services contractor for DMA08. They are in production of the online service kit and all exhibitors will receive an email notification when the online kit is posted. Once the kit is available, you may access the information on Freeman’s web site – www.myfreemanonline.com – plus a link to the online kit will be posted on the Exhibitors page of the DM08 web site. Your kit will include details on shipping materials, ordering electrical and Internet services, labor guidelines and general show information. Please note the following exhibit hall hours for DMA08.
Listed below are events scheduled in the hall as well as the dedicated exhibit hall hours – 6+ hours when no conference sessions or other conference functions will take place.
REMINDER! PRIVATE EXHIBITOR EVENTS POLICY There are many opportunities during DMA08 to “mix and meet” with conference attendees – on the show floor, in conference sessions, over lunch and impromptu meetings. Many exhibitors also host events, whether these are small meetings with customers or private receptions/dinners. We know exhibitors want to maximize their time with attendees; however it is in the interest of all exhibitors that conference attendees not be asked to choose between spending their time at the convention center or at an offsite meeting or event. With this in mind, DMA is re-instating the policy regarding space release requests at hotels within the DMA block. DMA will not authorize events that conflict/compete with the official conference program and will not release space at the official conference hotels for that purpose. Official conference hours are:
Exhibitor Meeting Rooms are available on the show floor for exhibitors to meet with customers. The request form will be included in the online service kit. These rooms are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation. The International Association of Exhibitions & Events (IAEE) has reason to believe that www.expo-guide.com, a company operating out of Mexico, is targeting exhibitors in many tradeshows to purchase a three-year commitment of advertising that is cleverly disguised as an offer of a free directory listing. At this time, IAEE can not determine if the Mexico operation is just a façade for Construct Data/Fairguide, another show guide company, or if it is unrelated. Please be wary of any offers for free directory listings that may come your way from Expo-Guide (or others who are not affiliated with DMA). This is a bogus offer of a free directory listing that will commit your company to a three-year ad billed at about $1500 annually. The all-too-familiar offer is to ‘verify that our information about your company is correct and you get a free listing in the exhibitor directory.' This is not limited to DMA events – it also applies to other tradeshows in which your company participates. If you’re unsure about any “free directory listing” offer you receive for DMA08, please contact Gaye Dullaghan at 202.861.2469 or email gdullagh@the-dma.org for confirmation. DATES TO REMEMBERPlease mark your calendars with the following important deadlines and dates:
